I make a few pices of armor from time to time. Included is some images of my Leather Chainmaile Composite Bracers with laces, Chainmaile Coif, Chainmaile Vest, Recurve Display Bow.
Simplest way to make a good fitting pair of bracers is to make a pattern from your own arm. To do this get a piece of paper that is large enough to make a paper
pattern of your own arm. I have always used a letter sized, 8.5"x11", piece and it has always worked fine. Fold it in half and wrap it around your forearm, centering the fold on the
top-center of your forearm. Fold the two edges over each other on the underside of your forearm and draw a line down the exact center from wrist towards the elbow. Take the paper off
your arm and refold it, there should be a slope along the edge of the paper. Now with a scissors and the paper folded cut down the line, so when unfolded its trapazod shaped. Round off the
corners. The wrist side needs to be rounded inward, and the elbow end needs to be rounded outward. The bracers below were made from what was called Belly Leather, dyed black, its very soft after
a little manual working.
Instructions will be posted at some point.
